Meet Our Founder

Emily Hanson

Emerlilly Digital is led by our founder, Emily Hanson. The company began as her freelance career, utilising her experiences across the education sector, and as a parent, to help brands get their story heard. Seeing that businesses value marketing support from someone who truly understands their audience (because she’s been them), Emily expanded into Emerlilly Digital in 2025 with the support of other trusted former teachers and practitioners turned marketers. Emily can usually be found making obscure references to Bluey that even her children don’t pick up on, drinking coffee (preferably, but rarely, warm), and adding to an excessive pile of books that she wants to, but is unlikely to ever, read.

David Hanson

The less important Co-Founder

David heads up our design side and overall logistics. He's also the chef, driver and child getter-to-sleep-er. He loves accessible, inclusive design, referring to himself in the third person and communicating almost exclusively in tv and movie quotes. He is also definitely not even still thinking about the unpaid hours of evening laminating, cutting, and sticking for the creation of school displays during Emily's time as a teacher. He also made this website. And wrote this copy (I'm so sorry!).
